Red Lobster, A Review

My Lunch at Red Lobster

Today, I enjoyed a delicious lunch at Red Lobster. All together, I had a superb experience. I went to the lunch with two friends. As we entered Red Lobster, we were greeted in a friendly and sweet manner. We were promptly seated, and told that our waitress would be right with us. The restaurant was a little chilly, but that is perfectly fine as it is usually how I enjoy spending my time. The Red Lobster we visited was undergoing some renovations, but still maintained a high quality appearance.

Our waitress came by an introduced herself in a friendly, professional manner. She asked us for our drink orders, and told us she would give us a few minutes with the menu. When she returned with our drinks, she also had a basket of the most delicious biscuits to ever be placed on this earth. They have a different salty, cheese-y taste that makes them delicious. We asked for a few more minutes to look over the menu. We enjoyed the biscuits, and drank roughly half of beverages each.

When our waitress returned, she had another set of beverages with her, even though we had not finished ours yet. We appreciated this, as we all drink a lot of soda while out at a restaurant. She took our orders, and asked all of the appropriate questions associated with our orders, and offered to bring us more biscuits. I ordered the "Create Your Own Lunch," which I chose to consist of Lightly Breaded Clam Strips, and Fried Bay Scallops. This came with my choice of side, and I chose french fries. I was also asked to choose between House Salad and Caesar Salad and I chose Caesar. One of my friends, hereafter referred to as "Ansley," ordered the lunch portion of the Shrimp Linguine Alfredo. She chose a House Salad to go with hers. My other friend, hereafter referred to as "Jose," ordered the Cajun Chicken Linguine Alfredo, as he is allergic to shellfish. He chose to also have the Caesar Salad with his entree. We patiently awaited our food to arrive, while discussing the events of our lives.

Our waitress returned soon thereafter with our salads. The Caesar Salads came with plenty of dressing, croutons, and cheese. It was simply delightful. The House Salad came with cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, croutons, and plenty of bleu cheese dressing. We ate our salads quickly, and they were very enjoyable.

About 5 minutes after finishing our salads, our main courses arrived. Mine arrived on a warm plate, and looked delicious. The scallops were perfect, as were the clam strips. The tartar sauce that came with it was very good, and tasted homemade. The fries were crisp and perfectly salty. Ansley's Shrimp Linguine Alfredo was hot, creamy, and savory. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and I will definitely order it the next time I visit Red Lobster. Jose's Cajun Chicken Linguine Alfredo was also delicious. I had never had chicken at Red Lobster before, but it was a pleasant surprise for me. We definitely enjoyed our meals thoroughly.

Our waitress stopped by a few times to check on us, and refill our beverages. She was very friendly, and went out of her way to make sure we were helped. The only thing that was forgotten was the refill of our biscuits. This was not missed much though, as we were all very full. When we finished our meals, our waitress delivered us the bill, and continued to refill our drinks as we sat around talking a bit more. We paid the bill and left. On our way out, the hostess told us to "Have a great day," and it did not go unnoticed.

Red Lobster has great customer service. They really go above and beyond to employ the most friendly people. I have had bad service in restaurants before, and it can definitely affect your view on the establishment, and chain as a whole. I am sure it has happened at some Red Lobster in the past, but I urge everyone to give them another chance, as missing out on this restaurant would truly be a sad thing.

Take care, kids.

Red Lobster is delicious! The king crab is very good. I usually get the combination platter so I can enjoy a little bit of everything when I'm there. Those rolls, as you said are excellent. It's hard to not fill up on those before your actually meal comes. Only downside to Red Lobster, it can be expensive, easily running $150 for a group of 4. Nice Review though!

I like Red Lobster too! I hadn't been in a while but my mom took me for my b-day and it was very pleasant. We had good food, good drinks, and good service. It was a wonderful experience.
